This power-plant is part of the huge complex of Oil&Gas field Kashagan in Kazakhstan, Atyrau area, north of the Caspien sea.
It has been awarded to Bateman Kazakhstan on a Turn-Key contract of $189 Million by Agip KCO, in 2004. The first stage included 4X45 MW gas-turbines Frame 6 by GE. Second stage another 2X35 MW steam turbines were added. The project also included 3 diesel essential generators, Step-up transformers to 35KV and a switchyard.
